Well its a yes/no question as ^^^ said. If you mod your car planning on selling it later for a higher price thinking you will gain more than you spent ... then is not worth it. People wont pay half the money you have wasted in the car. But, if you do this as a hobby just because, then is definitely worth it,

The Type R sold 5 years later for $20k with 30,000 on the odo. The Type R is a rarity since if you have one with low mileage and in showroom shape they are starting to creep back up in value especially low unmolested examples.

Depends.

For personal enjoyment? Hell yes. Nothing like looking at your ride and saying "I did this".

For making money? Nope. It's VERY rare (I'd almost venture to say it NEVER happens) that a person makes the money back that they put into it. Unless you happen to run across a collector like Jay Leno.

It's a hobby, not an investment. As long as the vechicle is enjoyed its worth the money you will lose.

It's worth modding if your priorities are straight since I've sen some friends become car poor and having this sweet car with a ton of money in it and parking it in a uncovered spot in a shoddy apartment complex isn't for me.

it's worth it. It's a hobby for me. I don't like to have a Focus that will look like *everyone foci*. I will not boost my engine and put 8000$ on it, just making my car look like I want and make it sound great eheh..^^
