Do you think 'Car Modding' is worth it?

I think it is. I like having a car that is not like anyone else's car.

The more I think about it and do it to my car, the more I feel modding is worth it. If nothing else, modding always keeps you car fresh; I continually do little things to my car, and afterword it always feels like I'm driving a new car. If I would be leaving it untouched, I would have grown tired of it a long time ago and would be looking for a new one already. However, while modding, I have grown attached to my car and never want to give it up for anything. I'm keeping my little baby for as long as I can.

indeed! that's why even though i bought the Focus, i still kept my 13 year old ZX2. i LOVE that car. it's modded nicely, runs strong. we've been through a lot. no accidents though. won lots of shows with it. the Focus is following suit nicely. it's already won 3 shows.

A very susprising statement for me to hear from ya mac lol. Your usually the one telling us to stay as stock as possible(= But to each his/her own

I'm not into aftermarket wheels or body kits, but you don't need all that stuff to stand out from the crowd.

I learned that from having a Mustang. Everyone clamors to get body kits and lights and hoods and what not and the only cars that really stood out were the ones that were kept OE with subtle modifications

Make it a bit of a sleeper. That's the goal with mine once I pay it off. I decided to keep the ugly steelies on there. And just add an air intake, and the FS stealth exhaust. It won't be the fastest car on the road, but it will be quicker and sound better than a stock Focus.
I am a less is more kind of guy, and like to keep things simple. I cannot see putting a ton of money into modding a car that I know I will not get back if it suffers a total loss, or I sell it.
