Agreed, minus the last part. I noticed, at least in my adolescent years, that girls that hung around the local car meet up's were not marriage material. Hope I'm not steping on any toes here, this is a VERY subjective comment and may only pertain to the groups I hung out in.

Anyways, yes, car modding is a way of life for me and something I really enjoy!

I think car modding is worth it if planning on keeping da car otherwise it would be a waste of money afterwards. Straight to da point dats all.

Yeah oll thread but I'll comment It depends on your plan making huge mods without a real reason for it seems costly i'll use a very small example. I have thought A lot aobut aftermarket wheels or buying a set of SVT wheels for my car. Well My wife (God love her she is Awsome) Bought me a set of walmart chrome Sheel covers for my stock wheels yeah they where $25, had the exact same mounting system as the stock ones and man I will tell you they look fantastic I'm sitting on stock rubber with stock wheels with $25in wheel covers bought a $30 Steedaalum shift knob, I'mhere to tell you I had fun puttign thqt stufff on oh also got a set of Ford logo Floor mats all rubber vinyl or what ever it is, and now I can hose them off at the car wash. My point is if I don't need lightwieght wheels for an everyday driver why spend the money I have my wheels looking nice for at least 1/16 the cost of new wheels and that doesn't include having to spend over $150 per tire! anyway. Anyone ever heard of DAve Ramsey, anyway I am taking that $400 plus in wheels and putting it towards geting out of debt 29 payments left on the Focus and then I will save up for my next car using the money I save not going into debt for toys. Warren Buffet got rich on the philosphy that he will not Finance something tha depreciates in value ok sorry guys got on a saop box but I will tell you it is was a fantastic feeling changing the look of my car for less than $100!

i think its worth it in terms of value to yourself if its a hobby like it is to me but in terms of getting back financially what you put in it definatly is not worth it
i put well over 5k into my honda and its not going to make the car worth a dime more

true. the girls worth anything have a car thats nice themselves

which from a girls perspective is actually a pain in the ass. ive had a few guys that see my car n think im very materialistic.

i love modding as long as its classy. i love classics so more than anything i try to mod my focus to be like a classic..rather than a souped up new car. lol.

Well like most people think, car modding is self expression. Most people do it to stand out on the streets. We all mod diffrent tho, some go for power and others go for looks

I voted yes. financially, modding a car is obviously a waste of time, and you tend to lower your gas mileage. I just put a throttle body on my car, bought it used, and love how it drives now. I have a red zx3 thats lowered with black 15 spoke wheels, and I love it. I dont think its a good idea to FI a focus personally, I would rather dump 2 grand in an old school muscle car and run 12's. in my opinion, basic bolt ons for my enhanced driving pleasure, as well as wanting to beat any other na 4 cylinder out there, yes. my hobby is worth it to me.
