Question about upgrading Audiophile package in 2005 ST

Just a couple questions, I recently upgraded my audiophile HU with a Alpine CDA-9853 and i wired it to retain the use of my stock amp and sub as detailed in
this thread
however the sub just doesnt sound to really kick like it used to with the stock HU, so my question is the wiring the same for the 05s as it is for earlier models, just asking because the harness is different from the SVT ones.

And my second question concerns the PAC-ALP, i hooked it up as per the manual but i could not get it to program any of the functions at all, as per the manual it says to use the white wire on the PAC-ALP to the #18 white/black on the wireing harness, now my question here is should i use the one Pac says or the one on the Audiophile harness.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: NM figured it all out
