How has done this ?? and how did it turn out, i want to do it really bad but i dont want the lenses to ruin quicker, iam good with my hands so i will have no problem doing everything, its just the lenses that iam worried about.

infernalcrest its basically the same for all models very good write up but one addition u might want to ass is to lightly sand the inside chrome. imo it will help the paint adhere better and if you miss a small section with the silicone sealant it will help prevent with paint chipping check your local laws too in NJ its illegal to modify your stock headlamps so i cant do this like i wanted =(

Note: I have not read this entire thread. Just a word of caution to anyone doing this who has not done it before. The 'chrome' finish inside the headlight it delicate. It is not metal. use appropriate steps to avoid marring the finish in critical areas.

The chrome can be scoured with a scotch brite pad or steel wool. Then shoot your first coat of primer and see if that covers. If you use a fine enough "grit", you should have no problem with adhesion and the little scratches won't be visible.

im taking the plunge as we speak :/ heres a funny pic though edit: almost done!! im fighting the urge to put it back together. its still a little wet but im getting impatient. followed the steps to a T and they came out great. (had to put them in for 20 min. instead of 15 though) props for the write up! pics will be up tomorrow.
