BBK Throttle Body for SVT

I discovered that BBK makes a throttle body for the SVT, it's a 66mm one, and I've always heard BBK to have a good rep with throttle bodies.

Has anyone ever installed one? I haven't seen any mention of them in the boards.. The price is right in the same ballpark as the focus central one, so I'm curious about this.

Here's a link for one vendor I found, I'm sure there are others. (not a plug for these guys, I've never purchased anything from them, just found this thru BBK's website)

BBK 66MM THROTTLE BODY FORD FOCUS SVT

BBK's site says 65mm...

I dunno about it. I have a Focus Central tb and I like it. I'm glad I got a deal on it!

yeah, BBK said 65 for the ford focus 2.0, but it's not specific about the actual svt one. I dunno, it could be 65mm...

I just wonder if there is any difference between this piece and the Focus Central one, I don't have either one yet, but I'm in the market, so I figured I'd see if anyone has any info about it.

^^Saw that after my last post, crazymech... any idea what was mentioned about them? Driveability issues, or pedal feel, etc?

The BBK throttle body for the Focus SVT NEVER made it into production. I ordered one from BROTHERS PERFORMANCE and their marketing rep called me to tell me that BBK didn't go ahead and produce the TB for the SVT Focus because of a lack of interest. I wound up buying the FC one instead and love it.

I did a little research - AT FIRST, it APPEARS that this part is for sale now:
http://www.proficientperformance.com...ttle_body_ford

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/sale...hrottle_Bodies

But, it isn't - about a year or so ago (http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...threadid=31481) I was told it was still under development by BBK and a couple of their vendors, yet they continued to show it on their website as if it is for sale - very annoying. Today, I called BBK and verified that it is not for sale. Apparently, prototypes were produced but interest waned in it and it was never mass-produced. Shoot! I like having choices.
