rammed your fingers in where? behind the unit?

I have tried all manner of spreading thetools away from eachother, but they just come out of the holes with little effort.

Good stuff. I've bought the tool and am going to try this, today. After driving around for about five to six months with the cd error message, I've decided its finally time to do something about it.

Wish me luck! :P

Cool. Now have they got anything for a 2003 Focus SVT?
I like my 9006 stereo, and I like the stock look.

LOAD+EJECT worked for me

I just wanted to add that pressing the load and eject buttons simultaneously worked in repairing the CD ERROR my in dash 6 disc had. It had jammed upon insertion of a (normal, non-burned) CD and refuled to play, elect, load, etc.

I just did this whole thing to get 2 cds out and I got them out. But now I still have a CD error when I try to put them back in and it wont accept them. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? I'm gonna try the LOAD+EJECT like the guy above me did and hope for the best.

The "LOAD+EJECT" simultaniously worked perfectly :) I still have 2 discs in there that it ate and are not actually showing as being in there, but I am going to take it apart and get them back. Then I think I might take it out to a desolate country road, find a way to hook it to a 20 foot section of rope and drag it for a few miles as I do not have a gun to do what the original poster suggested.
