Thumbs up Picked up my new Focus today!!!

Well as many of you know I have a 2004 black Mazda RX8 and I race Rotax 125cc RAce Karts and that I was trading my Ranger for a Focus thanks to the gas prices.

Well I picked the Focus up tonight. I got a 2003 Red ZX3 with 30K miles and pretty basic. I know I'll get flamed for this but it is an auto... Let me explain... I'm an outside salesrep and drive about 850-1100 miles each WEEK!!! I get a ton of interuptions during the day esp. when I'm driving so an auto only makes sense. Don't worry my RX8 is a 6 spd. I've only put about 50 miles on the car so far but tomorrow will be the true test as I'm more than likely to put over 200 miles on. So far the car is awesome. It is much more comfortable than the Ranger has great visablity, handles well, and has decent power. I'm looking foward to getting at least a year or two out of the Focus. Let's just say I've bought and sold well over 10 cars in the past 3 years. I'm hoping the Focus will make me happy and be good to my wallet.

Pete

You shouldn't get flamed all because you have the automagic... I have it too and no one has flamed me... yet...

Good choice

Flame flame flame.

There's nothing wrong with automatics. If you don't mind your car shifting for you... JK.

Congrats on the purchase. You should like it. The Focus is a way more comfortable ride for long distances than a Ranger.
