52,000 Miles.
2003 Duratec. 2.3l. Pzev if that makes any difference....

Only problem I ran into, Driver-side window crank snapped on me.
I keep up with all oil changes and swear by mobile 1 synthetic.

I bought my 02 ZX3 with 23k from Walker Ford in Clearwater, FL on 29 Feb 2004. As of 22 April 2005, when it began hibernation (due to my having an epileptic seizure) it had 54k on the odometer. I did freelance consulting in Florida, and did a lot of traveling. Made a few trips up and down the east coast in her. As for issues. The transmission was replaced at 30k, it's been through 2 sets of pads and rotors, and had it's third set of tires put on at 50k (making the entry into hibernation really burn). The driver's side headlight lens was replaced due to water leakage, and the CEL came on once - egr valve. It hasn't been a perfect car, but it's been pretty good to me. I don't know if I'd buy another focus, but I don't think I'm going to run off and get rid of her. Though, 30k in one year was low for me. My prior car (99 Contour SE Sport) received 25k miles (46k-76k) in 6 months (without ever leaving Florida) with all of brake pad replacement and an alternator/battery going (traded it in on the focus while in for that repair).

2001 se w/ 50k it uses a lil power steering fluid, and the tranny has more slack than id like.

my first car, a mazda mx-6 4 banger, also auto , got 27K on her in the 3 months i owned her, from 123K to 150K, and then i blew a head gasket. paid $2000, ended up selling her for $300, after putting $500 into her.

i bought my current '02 SE with 47K on her back in October of '04, now she has 69K. and i havent driven past 15 miles in any direction from home either.

......but dont tell my odometer that, i pulled her from a junker for the tach and shes got 64K.

Just bought a silver '02 SE wagon. It has 64K on it. Very clean and fun car. Even the 2 dogs don't mind riding in it, and the gas mileage is definitely better than our Eddie B. Expedition, 5.4 awd!!! Anyone else out there have a bit of a sticky throttle upon take off, cold or warm?

2002 Ford Focus ZX3, purchased 4/02.

34k miles: headlight switch failure
38k miles: install new alternator due to fault reinstalling after s/c install
40k miles: clutch failure, broken spring
50k miles: install supercharger and nitrous
65k miles: blew the 3rd gear blocker ring, new transmission
70k miles: replaced stock brake pads
75k miles: new alternator hardness. also plug wires, coil pack, and plugs install to fix a miss
83k miles: intake valve on cylinder 2 decides closing is optional. new head
88k miles: replace alternator again, covered under warranty where it was rebuilt
90k miles: should be sometime this week

I didn't mention my shifter bases breaking as this is more of my driving style. Other than that, I think it covers the majority of my problems and advances in the car. Considering I'm pushing twice the stock hp on the bottle, I say its reliable.
if bottles are for babies and real men get blown, wtf am i?

I just traded my 02 SE sedan in at 41k. It was a p.o.s. On the other hand, my parents have a 01 SPI sedan with 110k on it. It is now their second car, they finally bought a real grown up car, an 06 Altima 3.5. They've always had slow economy cars. They even had a 4-cyl Taurus with a staggering 90 h.p.

The fact that their Focus has made it this far is pretty good. My dad isn't the best when it comes to maintaining cars. Aside from oil changes and tires, the only thing done to it was the 30k service. Besides the ignition key sticking 3x (only had to pay for it once), and 1k to repair the a.c., the car had been ultra reliable. Hopefully he'll get some of the maintenance done and it will make a good second car.

Guess its not really "high mileage" comparatively.

2001 ZX, Picked her up used with 65,100 (approx), and im somewhere near 69,000 now. No major problems so far (knock on wood).
Wishes she wasn't Stock "Money Speaks Louder Than My Dreams"

My ZX3 Is my Problem Child & We have a love/hate relationship. Currently we're back to "Like".
