motor mod guidance

I have had my focus for over a year now and have not touched the motor at all not even exhaust or air intake. I have freed up some of my investment money and have around $7000 that I could spend. I would like to know what I could get done of this. I am unable to do this my self so the 7000 will have to include professional install. I do know that I would like to do cosworth stage 1 & 2 but I have no clue what stage 3 will cost for parts or install. Also, is cosworth the way to go or should I go with some thing else. Some thing I am wondering is if I can save money by having it all installed at once because that would mean they do not have to take the engine apart more than once.

You could have Marcy Motorsport build a complete motor, he's making 221whp right now naturally aspirated.

^ money shouldnt establish wealth. i think that happiness should. but yeah there are many ways you can go. you can do a complete cosworth build or you could do as aero suggested which is a mm build. or there is a whole other route. save about another 3k and you can do an engine swap with some good ol american v8 power. but mm is you best best. better gains with less money.

WOW. You could also buy a turbo setup. You can by the pistons and the rods and everything else to make the kit. thats amazing you saved just about what i make in a year. Being young sucks

Yeah, check into a supercharger or turbo man!

Forced induction all the way!

Well my plan is to spend the $7000 to make the motor totally prepped for the turbo whenever one comes out for the 2.3l. So that brings about another question is $7000 enough to completely prep the motor for FI. and will that mke it possible for me to run more psi. I am 21 and work as a union carpenter in st. louis but I make extra money off of stocks and commodities.
