Anybody's SVT ever die on them?

I was coming to work yesterday and took the access road to the plant which is about a half mile straightaway and I do like I always do, press the clutch and pull it out of gear when I get up to about 45 and coast to the end since there is a stop sign at the end. Well, I had the radio on but by no means was it loud, had my the fan on low but no air and when I get to the stop sign I noticed my oil light and battery light was on, then I noticed I had no power steering and had lost some brake pedal as well...then I look and the engine had apparently decided it didn't want to run so it quit. Cranked it back up and it ran fine. It's done this a couple of times before too, I'm not too concerned because it runs fine down the road and it's a sporadic problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

Happened twice to me in the 5 months I've had mine...
1. Pulling into the Movie Theatre parking lot...coasted in and to the spot to park, and just up and died. No lights, no warning...cranked right back up.

2. Pulling into my driveway at home one night, stopped and decided I was too close to another car, put into reverse, gave a little gas, while moving backwards I pushed in the clutch and there it went...cranked right back up.

Weird, I know...but it happens to all of our SVT's at some point. I've heard plenty of stories about when this has happened!

Aight, just makin sure it wasn't my driving or something, lol. JohnMichael, you've had your focus about as long as me, I bought mine back in February. I've loaded it with miles though...makes me sad...I've put 13k on it in that short time period. I have had an hour drive to work every day during my last co-op work semester and for the first month of this one but I just moved into a trailer 5 miles from where I work to cut down on the miles.

Yep, I got mine with 29k on the odo...and now it's around 39k... man, 10k in 5 months. Sheesh, I better slow up a little!

We're still stuck over here in AL, the roads into La are closed, and some of the bridges going into New Orleans are GONE! Wowsers...

Yeah, that's what I heard. Maybe you'll get to go back pretty soon.

Mine is having a hard time keeping its idle for the past few days. I think it is due to the 4 days of continuous rain.

I have had the same problem even with a tune. It is especially bad when the AC is blasting and it is hot as hell out. Even with my new tune I have had the issue a few times but not as bad as with my old tuner.

My car only has 14k on it and it has been going on for a long while now. I just make sure to keep the revs up.
