Ok, so here are the pics I promised....all resized and everything.

Our trip started about 8:00 p.m. on Friday. We cruised 42 all the way to 95 to pick up 64. While on 64, we stopped at a gas station for some quick snacks and to take some water breaks.....

We are inside and we hear this....vrrgghhrrrvvv. It sounds like a broken down weed eater.....and this is what we saw.....


Notice Steve's look on his face......he probably wishes that he bought a Honda instead of the Focus. After seeing this car...who wouldn't?

It sounded like the tranny was about to fall out of it.
Too bad I also didn't get a pic of the carbon fiber wing....man...wish I had one of those too.

This is the Wright Brothers Memorial at Kitty Hawk. We had a hotel right across the street from it.


We get a call around 9:30 or so from someone at Big Al's. That's when we realize that the clock is 30 minutes behind....apparently the last visitors to the room decided to play a nice little joke.

We arrive at Big Al's to find a lone red SVT in the parking lot. We talk for a little while, but then, it was time to grub.

We go inside, sit down, order.....and notice something crawling on my neck...

WTF....???

Everyone says..."OMG...IT'S A WASP!"

I turn around and it landed on the wall.....it got smooshed fairly quickly.



We eat and go outside for some pics:

Then Mr. Billy Badass says it's time to cruise!!!


We head down to Brodie Lighthouse and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse:

We head down the road a little more and then we find an access road that's a lot like an autocross track. I figure it would be a good idea to take some pics of our cars coming through the turn. I quickly figure out that it wasn't a good idea because when I started walking through the field..I start asking myself 2 questions.......

1. When did Cacti start growing at the beach?


2. How does a bug splatter on your tire?


We go ahead and cruise to the first ferry and snap a few pics..



We reach Ocrakoke Island and as soon as we arrive we saw this....


....which must be that new Dodge Neon Skyline GT-R SRT4 everyone's raving about....but I myself wasn't too impressed...
Different stroke for different folks....

Ocrakoke Island was full of these little concept cars that couldn't make it to the mainland....

We finally get to the last ferry....which was HUGE and noticed we had a couple of stow aways that were too lazy to fly the 3 hour tour (Gilligans Island)....:lol:


With the end of the pics...I went ahead and snapped this one for memories. It was almost nightfall and we cruised the whole OBX from Kitty Hawk to.....wherever that last ferry took us...


We had fun and made a lot of cool memories....

Hope to someday do it agian, but since I'm moving to Texas....don't know how long from now that will be acheivable.
