What about the Extreme Dimensions PRO DTM kit, it says fiberglass, is that a decent kit ?

Nope, anything fiberglass is not worth your money, not worth your time, your effort, your focus.......

Unless you can show me a cheap way to make my own bumper design out of polyurethane I'm afraid it's gonna have to be fiberglass. Seriously, do you know a way? I really would love to be able to do that... kinda makes me sad.

This is just my opinion but if it comes down to 'cost' and you can't get a urethane kit, and are stuck with fiberglass, then don't bother. I know it's nice to get a new external look to your car but your throwing your money away on fiberglass kits. Within a year, you'll be repairing it, replacing it, throwing it out and putting your stock bumps back on. If I were you, I'd save for a good 'quality' kit if you want it that bad (external mods) rather then throwing your money into a fiberglass kit that will give you nothing but problems.

I understand what you are saying. However i don't quite understand what all the fuss is about. For one, I plan on taking outstanding care of this bumper. I'm going to be changing my driving habits entirely, which is good because it'll probably keep me safer as well. Plus I just found out that the blades on those dually choppers are made of fiberglass, so it can't be that bad of a material. My mom's old corvette's body was fiberglass. Eurethane can't be repaired easily either from what I've read. Plus it warps sometimes. I understand that can be fixed, but still, I don't need the darn thing to sag. I'd love to have a eurethane bumper! I would! But the fact remains that all the other bumpers I've seen for my model year (05-07) just aren't that good looking! I'm very specific! So what am I to do? I really wish I could make a mold of the bumper I'm getting, sorta like making a backup of a cd, then if something catastrophic happens I won't have to buy it again. If I really had a lot of money I'd just take the bumper and make a poly copy of it for myself. But of course, like so many great ideas, I've yet to get a single good answer on how that could be done, so I'm just going to assume that no one here knows! If you do, please tell me!!!!!!! lol.

the Extreme Dimensions PRO DTM kits are made of Duraflex, which is a hybrid material that is technically fiberglass. In fact most Extreme Dimensions are made of Duraflex. it can take a lot more punishment than normal fiberglass from what i've read. Plus, go to youtube and do a search for duraflex. One of the videos shows the duraflex bumper getting twisted up without breaking.

dunno if that helps or not...
