'02 FC TB and TPS fitment
I'm in need of some help...
I have a Focus Central 65mm unit and a 2001 tps, my 2002 tps will not fit the new throttle body. I've attached a diagram (sorry, no camera yet) of the original 2002 tps and the "new" 2001 tps that I got with the throttle body. I don't have the part #'s now, but could get them if needed. I was just wondering if anyone could identify to see if I have the wrong unit, or what else is wrong. I've also heard that Ford changed the tps and throttle body somewhere along the line, it is possible that mine is the outdated one? Thanks, Dan

Ford had changed the throttle bodies for the Focus that are made after April of 2002. So any before that are going to have a different TPS than the ones after Apr. 2002.

If you have a 2003 that means you would need the new design that looks like the second one in the picture in the first post.

so i would need a pigtail wirering conecter for the new tps and cut my cut the old one off and splice the new one on and it should work fine?
