U don't have to have a dremel but that makes it way easier. I used an exacto knife to cut the plastic from the inside of the connector.

doesn't work for an '01 focus.. i took my taillight off, the top section of the light was just a reflector housing

My friend sal has an 02 and his are just like mine. Why would ford change them for just one year and go back?

Maybe its just certain regions or states that had the reflectors.

I'm here in cali and I never saw a 00-04 sedan with the reflector for the turn signal.

There are, as some of you have found out, two different designs from Ford. When you order tail lights from any place that isn't run by retards, they'll ask "2 connector or 3?".

Just throwing that out there. So for people who have the two connector design, you can't really change anything. Sorry. And no, I don't know exactly what year(s) this affects. Mine's an '02 and they asked me which one I had..

I finally saw one of the 2plug taillights a few weeks back and honestly I must say ford is dumb for making them. No bueno!
