cams question

my buddy told me that if i get cam shafts and cam gears that i would have to rework my heads is that true what would be the best set up i saw yealery that they said ford Raceing stage 2 can someone give me a link to that. And what else would i have to do to my engine to put in the camshafts and gears?

You might not have to rework the head if you go with a mild cam grind. I had
the Comp Cams XR Stage 1s put in and I did not have to have any
additional head work done. Just had to get them installed. from what I
have read through these forums about FR Stage 2 cams, you should not
have to have any addtional work done on them other than the install.
Here is a link for the Ford racing parts catalogs. Which does includes
a Fast Focus Catalog. PDF format, so be patient if you have 56 K.

i have not taken it to a dyno yet. I do have stronger acceleration and better
0-60 times for sure. And thats with a stage 1 cam. and it is a lot louder
than when i had the stock cams in. Best bang for the performance
buck, IMO. next mod to help those cams is a svt header and some
type of exhaust. but with the stock exhaust, no body knows whats
up until I step on the accelator and they hear my engine growling at them
and me passing them. but i do want to keep it as quiet as possible

i found 15whp and about 17wtq with ford racing stg 2 and the chip that i got with it..so just the cams by itself id reckon about 12 whp...they are good to get, but if i coulda done it all over again i woulda waited and gotten a head with them
