The Grand Am would light you up! Sorry to admit it. It has a V6. But good luck.

It may have a V6 but it is also a very heavy car.

It is a very heavy car, I still think it will be a close race.

If the 1999 model is just like the 2000 model this should be accurate. How fast is an automatic ZX3?

unless pontiac [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]*ed 'em up in the last few years, its not even gonna be close to being close. my brother in law drives a 93 Grand am gt, and it'll smoke any focus, with any mods (short of FI...), any day of the week.

I drove a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT, it was a very heavy car and a automatic. I've beat a many of these at the track in my SVTF, by a good margin. I think if you are a good driver it will be close. You wont know till you race him. Good luck.

The new GTO may look like a mont carlo..But it does have 350hp! That's more than the 2005 mustang will have! ahhhh!!!!!!!

**Now every old jacka** with a midlife crisis will be trying to re-live his "youth" and buy one! Then they will try to race every car from light to light...

**Or it will turn into the new "foreginer kid" car... Don't wanna offend anyone...but first it was Iroc-Z then it became Dodge Avengers....I get the feeling this will be next! lol

**ALSO** The grand -am will win! (An SVT might be able to do it)

That may be true but the Cobra will whoop some GTO ass anyday!! Plus the GTO is down right ugly and is also extremly heavy. It is supposed to run the quarter in about 13.8 seconds where as the new mustang GT should run about 13.9 according to Motor Trend (nothing is in stone yet). So you pay almost $34,000 for a GTO, where I can buy an older Cobra (2003) and still whoop a GTO's ass and look good doing it. I will take the Mustang anyday.
