I have a 2006 Ford Focus, 2 liter DOHC, Canadian model, standard, and of course, NO TACH, can anyone PLEASE tell me how to install an aftermarket tach? which wire or wires do i have to splice into to get the signal to make the tach work? I have e-mailed EIGHT different ford dealerships and they are to IGNORANT to even REPLY, let alone help me.

Have you tried a cluster with a tech? You find them on eBay cheap.

Has to be a Canadian Tach, ( in Kilometers ) and since mine does not have ABS, it has to also be out of a non abs focus and out of a standard shift.

Canadian & non-ABS should do it. Most clusters with tachs came in automatic cars in the earlier models (thru '04), I'm guessing the '05-'07 is similar.

But if I try to explain it to you, you will he more lost.than you are now.
Plus it was explained to you in an earlier post, you just can't hook it up to a wire and go like the older cars.

Simple answer would be - You Can't.

Longer answer involves using a "tach. driver", and this is one thread detailing info. on that.

Jdaxx1, look at page 1 then 2 then 3........., and you are asking for free info from people who care about their cars/focuses. Have a little respect and grow up a bit. It's a focus forum not an info for jdaxx9 forum.
