From Last Thursday Night...

After a crappy twelve hour day at work last Thursday, was driving to pick up some Chinese take out when I picked up these "2" free loaders in my "R" rear tire. Could not be repaired & had to purchase a new tire the next day. Then the following Saturday morning, picked up nice flat, very sharp piece of metal in my "L" rear!! Luckily that was repairable. All this on a set of new Falken ZE 512's with less than 500 miles on them. As I was leaving the tire shop for the second time in as many days, the manager says, "See you on Monday". Anyway, enjoy the carnage;

Are those big gnarly nails or sticks?!

Wow that really sucks, 2 tires attacked so soon after one another... I smell conspiracy.

I'll add my tale of woe:

Driving to work, slow cruise on local road (40MPH), windows down, radio off. Big 'ole truck pulls in front of me. I watch the big rock come skipping at me, I have only time to wince.. I hear the thunk, and cuss.

A few seconds later, I hear "hisss..hisss..hisss.." and the steering gets all squirrley. I pull over....

The rock took out my foglight. The foglight glass took out my tire. The shard was about 2" at the base, cut a big flap in the tread. Not repairable.

Tire - $130. Foglight - $50. 3M vinyl foglight protectors - $30.

And yep, it was a Monday.
