Question aftermarket sub w/ stock audiophile stereo help! Seriously want HELP!!

I know I've not been a member long, but I have a quick question for all the eletrical techs out there. I have had an aftermarket video screen in my Focus since I bought it. I also have an aftermarket sub in the trunk. Well, Illinois just passed a law making video screens illegal in the front of the vehicle. I decided to remove the video screen, rather than get a fine and have my equipment confiscated. I would really like to take advantage of the audiophile stereo (like the steering column remote, and the 6 disc changer) that came with my SVT, but I also would like to keep my bass. I have a 12 inch sub in the trunk and would like to relay the audiophile sub wiring to the aftermarket sub. My question is: How do I do this?

Thanks a bunch to whoever can aid me in this project. Also, if anybody know of an 8 inch sub that will fit in the audiophile subs spot in the trunk, that also sounds really good, please let me know. I plan to replace the factory sub so I will have more trunk space.

Thanks again, punthe.

dude.. what the heck is that post? wow I am dumbfounded. No... you won't find an aftermarket 8" sub that takes up less space. Subs need airspace to work properly. You can't get around it. Your stuck with the space you have, and is better than an after market 8" sub and box because the stock one is blow molded to the space provided to maximize the trunk space. Search for the 10" sub into the stock box for your best option. Ha ha.. I got my post in before it is moved.

I dont know the stock SVT deck but if it doesnt have RCA's it wont work. If you want more from your sub you are going to have to get a bigger box/sub.
