Whats illegal in TX?

do you guys know what lights mods, if any, are illegal in tx? tinting them or making them clear? for example turning those awful looking orange lights (corners and blinkers) into clear?

actually, as long as it's not red or blue, any color is acceptable.

false...front is amber/white. rear is red/amber. you need to have reflectors too as many aftermarket lights don't contain. tinting them is illegal to most and you may get lucky but covering the light completely with tint is supposed to automatically fail the car.

if u need a car inspected, hit me up. many things we inspect are "its your decision".

what is your policy on race headers with o2 cheaters...ive heard that will still pass in texas but im not sure. i have the fc 421 header if that makes any difference. also, do we still have to have our plates on the front or can we at least put them in the window now?

haven't checked the book yet but from what I understand is that on the tail lights the had to be visible from 200 feet in the day light, and the front lights have to be amber or white with
amber or white reflectors on the front side of the car?

ok checked the state inspecton book, and painting the lens is illegal, but it says nothing on tint, however it says the lens has to be red (dark red? ) the light has to be plainly visible at 200 feet for the brake light and 1000 feet for the park light, kinda seems backwards to me?
the brake light cannot emite a dazzling or glaring brake light, been rearended twice maybe brake lights should be dazzling and glaring? oh well I don't make enough to make up laws just enough to brake em

well then the cop i asked is a moroon or he didn't understand what i asked him or i didn't understand what he said.

peter, as for passing emissions, i had a fc race header, ran super duper rich, and didn't have a cheater. i still passed the sniff test.

and yes plates in the window is legal. it has to be visible from the front. im thinking about just taking mine down. i dont like it up there. i never ran a front plate when i had my focus.
