MTX 75 or IB5 Transmission Fluid change

Has anyone changed their transmission fluid on an MTX 75 or IB5 manual tranny ?

Just wondering if it's easy enough to do myself or if I need to take it in to have it done.

Any instructions ?

I've done it... all it is are 2 8mm hex plugs (allen wrench) and 2qts. of tranny fluid....

It was easy... and I put in the Full Synthetic Motorcraft Fluid

hey micro.. how come you need to change the fluid? you shouldn't have to change it for years
It already comes with synthetic oil in it

I thought that the manual tranny required fluid change at 30K but it was the Auto tranny that requires fluid change at 30K. The manual tranny requires fluid change at 60K. These recommended fluid changes come from the Focus Scheduled Maintenance Guide.

Also, I'm curious on if there is a bolt to drain the manual tranny fluid or if you had to remove a pan or something to drain it.
Do you fill it up using the manual tranny fluid check bolt hole on the side of the tranny ?

There are 2 plus, 1 drain and 1 fill. Get 3 quarts to be safe, it takes a little more than 2.
