ORP and CEI...

Allright i've had my ORP on my car for about 3 months now and about a month ago my CEI light came on. I traced it to the 02 sensor and took the journy down to autozone to get a new one. They gave me a BOSCH one for like 45 bux but when i got home it wouldnt fit (too tall and hit the tranny). So i took it back and went over to FORD to buy the exact stock one to see if that would work (of course the price jumped to $108). I installed it, unplugged my battery for like 10 minutes, turned it on and the CEI is still on! Could it be the CEI cheater that came with the ORP has gone bad?

Have any of you had the same problem with the ORP?

ThX

Is the sensor bad or is it on because you don't have a cat. it's probably on because the second sensor knows that the air coming through the orp is rich because theres no cat to filter the air. you need a M.I.L. cheater which i have and no longer use and will sell you for 25 bucks + shipping, let me know if you are interested in P.M.

Here's what mommy should have told you to do when you downshift:
1. Step on the clutch
2. Simultaneously slide the shifter into a lower gear and give the throttle a quick, amazingly precise jab to rev the engine to exactly the rpm it needs to be at in the next gear
3. Quickly let out the clutch

Oh sure, It takes a few thousand tries before you get the timing and precision of your jab just right, but the reward is that you no longer suck.

yes, those cheaters go bad all the time. your best bet is to get a tune for your car and turn off the rear O2 sensor
