Cool im bad

Well my friend just got a brand new (18 miles) 05 Focus ST (2.3 duratec of course). Naturally we had to give it a little run. I only won by 1.5 almost 2 cars. Too close... so...

In the mail is:

Esslinger UDP (purchased from FF.com marketplace)
MAC Rear Engine Mount
Steeda Tri-ax (bought on ebay for 89 shipped from c-f-m)

Not going to make much of a difference in straight line speed, but I must thank him for giving me that little nudge to go modding

18 miles and he's drag racing. Ouch. Tell your friend to be careful, do a search on a mazda 3 in the racing forum, you'll get a horror story about a guy dropping his engine with less than 1000 miles; no it was not covered under warranty.

When I got my SVT it had less than 200 miles and I already had 3-4 runs up to 120mph, 16000 miles later and still no problems

With todays engines, there is really no break-in period. It is just a feel safe that most are used to doing. I will try to look up the documentation that I saw that in. There are a lot of old school things that are still done in the auto industry that we do not have to do. Likewise there are things that we do that we didn't do 5-10yrs ago. I'm sure I'll get some slack for this but I don't care.
