Focus has own mind... Cruise will stop and windshield wipers turn on.

I know it's wiring problem... but where could i look at? Were driving down the highway, and the cruise would turn off and my windshield wipers would turn on front and back... For awhile CC wouldnt turn on... and if flick the buttons and itd work... But what could i look for? Not wanting to take this to a shop... so help would be nice... Thanks all

Try disconnecting the battery.

I had a similer problem were my rear defroster, intermittent wiper, door chime, and the interior lights stopped working. I couldn't figure it out and outta desperation before bringing it into the dealer, I disconnected the battery for about 4 hours or so. I reconnected it and viola! Everything worked again. I'm not sure if it has to be disconnected for that long, but that is what I did and it worked. To date, I have yet to determine the exact cause.
