I've got a kind of unique set-up - it's been a long evolution of trial and error ...

FC 4-2-1 header, 2.25 flex pipe (bosal ?), 2.25 high flow cat, relocated 2nd O2 sensor, and magnaflow cat back. I'm currently working on adding a second muffler to cut down on noise (busted by the Troopers). Also, it should pass connecticut emissions - will find out in about 10 months. It's mostly all stainless steel and gave me about 2 mpg average gain.

Cost about $900-1000 so far...

2.5 incj Custom racing header, 2.5 inch flex, stock pipe, resonater, no muffler. Just straight pipe, header, and resonater. Feels good, sounds good, plenty loud!

I had a buddy of mine do a custom job, I picked the parts he welded! I hacked of the cat put an OBX header on with the flex pipe that came with it, (very impressed with the quality of the parts) only paid $175 shipped w/ flex pipe, have a Flowmaster 40 series muffler, which is just awesome sounding, paid $45 for it and last but not least I finished it off with a single lonley tip out the back! So all in all I got away with a sweet sounding exhaust system for super cheap and it really took the ol Bumble Bee up a notch!!!

ANSA Racing Dual Muffler (two mufflers welded together) 2.25" pipe, All custom bent from the cat (on the Contour, it's boldted to the manifold itsself on the front of the motor) and 2.25" Flex pipe. along with inline muffler...

Couldn't hear yourself talk w/o the inline.
But officer, it's only a four cylinder.

It seems I've already voted, though I can't find any posts from me in this thread . . .

Magnaflow SVT exhaust, and get the boys at McNews Automotive to install it for ya! They're the best!
