Weird suspension noise

Anyone else have this problem or ideas of what it could be. My suspension is all stock, and it has done this since my Dad bought it with 15,000 miles...it has 120,000 miles now. Everytime you take a sharp enough corner or go up the right kind of incline that unloads the front passenger side wheel, a load groaning/creaking noise resonates through the car. I hadn't really wanted to bother fixing this, but it was kinda embarassing when I went on a date on Sat and it did this a couple of times. All that has been done suspension-wise is new coil springs and new sway bar end links. Thanks for any help!

Sounds like your bushings needd to be lubed.. Or if someone put the new springs in and didn't transfer the rubber dampers to the new springs. Take a look at the springs and see if they are there.

You know what! mine does the same thing. I thought it was my right front strut the top bolt was loose and, my car would pull to the right a little. I tightened the nut and it goes strait has an arrow but the noise remains. Just like you describe it mostly happens when going moderate to fast through a left turn.

Could also be the evil bottom motor mount, check to see if it is getting sloppy

it is def not related to the springs...it did this long before the broken springs got replaced. I have tightened up everything...strut mounts are good. But like I said...its a loud groanin noise...not any kind of bang or squeak. Maybe I do need to lube the bushing...what's the best recommended method/product. Just pop em out and put grease on them?

I hate to say this, but Thank God I'm not the only one with this problem. I thought I'd broken something.

I'm not what you'd call *gentle* to the Focus when it comes to cornering, and I've noticed the same groaning sound under heavy suspension load on the driver's side [so, making a hard right] in the past weeks. Ah well, chalk it up to modern economy car build quality I suppose. If anyone has a more definitive answer on why this is occuring, please share it!

If you have a swaybar... Check the bushings, they may be shot. The factory rubber ones are not all that long lived.. Energy suspension is the way to go if you need to replace them..

My a/c hard lines coming off the compressor just recently broke so I had to replace them could the bottom motor mount be the problem and the fix for the noise when turning hard with suspension travel??

It is entirely possible it could be the source of noise. Its not a real expensive fix so just go ahead and do it ( the bottom motor mount)
