Bad news. and good news.

ok so im going to give the good news 1st

well guess what people, i've had the SCT by Focus Sport, for like the past month and the car was runing so cool. eventhough we had some misunderstandings with the camgears settings, i talk to Randy and he told me to send it back to them and they were going to fix it at no cost.
so i did send it back and they fixed it. and not only that but they reflashed my SCT and added 2 more programs for me to play around with (3 total). i just got it yesturday.

bad news
my car got stolen like a day after i sended the SCT to Randy. well ya they found the car but the car is a total lost. so did not get to test the new programs on my car. :(

i though i'll let every one know how pleased i am with Focus Sport. thx.

now im just hoping to get a new car but i need help deciding what should i get?

note: i want to go FI in the furute.

05 focus ST(black), or a 03-04 SVT(black)

and since i have camgears and SCT i think i should go for a SVT. any ideas??

Personally if I was you, wanting to go F/I I would go SVT because you already have internals that have been rated up pretty high. Also the 05 ST handles like the SVT because of the nice suspension they dropped in it but just doesn't have the power. But sorry to bring you down the ZX3 cams won't work on the SVT. Sorry about the loss man, good luck on the next buy. How much did the insurance company give you?

Get an ST. Would you mind telling how your car was stolen? I thought that PATS made something like that really difficult.

Anything can be stolen pretty easy if you know how. We install remote starts where I work. My techs could steal anything in 30 seconds...LOL

i would go with the svt just cause i like the 00-04 styling and prefer a hatch. if you have the sct chip that will not work with svt. svt can only be re-flashed

Damn, what a shocker. Suppose ensuring that I've always had a garage was a good idea. Sorry to hear that your car was ripped BTW. Like I said above, between an SVT and an ST I'd take the 05'.

Get an SVT. You should be able to get an 04 for about $13K or less.

This should be a poll, anyway LastRites like he said he is possibly going F/I how much do the duratech superchargers/turbochargers put out? I wasn't even aware they made kits for that engine yet.

I haven't kept up on that but with it being the current platform (enginewise) I do think that the aftermarket will show more support & products for the 2.3. I could be wrong. One of the things that I don't like about the SVTF is the limited aftermarket but with them only being produced at like 14,000 who can blame manufacturers for not coming out with products. So in short IMO there will be more to choose from with the ST.
