License plate frame

Hi there,
This is I guess my third post, but the others were on the old forum. I want to thank everyone for being so helpful in answering my previous questions, and I have a couple more for you Focus experts:
1. The '01 Focus I just purchased does not have a front license plate frame, but has holes in the bumper cover. Does the license plate screw right into this, or is there a part missing??
2. If there is a part missing, anybody know where I can get one (other than a dealer)?
3. It was also missing the owners manual. I have one on the way, but was hoping somebody can tell me how to set the clock in the factory am/fm CD player?

Thanks,
Jim

basically the holes are for the screws. i used to have a 2001 focus but dont exactly remember how to set the clock. i beleive that the stereo has to be on and you have to hold th ebutton that has clk and wait till it flashes so you can make the changes. i think thats how i did it when i had my old car

My dealer just drilled the license plate cover right to the bumper cover. Anyway, I guess there isnt any kind of bracket. I took the license frame off and have two big holes in my bumper.

So there is or isn't something between the plate and the bumper?

they do sell frames, but they will still screw into the bumber. there's no way to clip it on if that's what you're looking for. the frames are at your local autoparts store in plain and exotic chrome patters (most common are snakes, chains, and skulls...ugly if you ask me, but to each his own)

Mine has a black plastic "frame" attached to the bumper:

But the SVT has a different bumper. I dunno. Still attached the same way, though - it is screwed right into the bumper cover. So I can never take it off without having two ugly holes... But then, it's technically illegal in CA to not have a plate on the front, anyway. Then AGAIN, it's technically illegal to have on that blue plastic cover on the plate, too. Sigh...
