No, all i have to have is your vin # to run it here at work on fmc dealer and get your key code. Then i key the cyl for your code and cut a spare blank key to make sure that it works and send it to you all together.

No offense Im sure yours work good b16, I simply ment that I dont think anyone will find a car shop that will charge less than 87 buck to install and supply parts. Personally I dont buy parts unseen, and I wont pay untill it works. Beyond that I didnt know how to install one myself and didnt feel like expirementing. PS the parts were only $40(new cylider), install was $35ish plus tax.

"theres no better lock cyl thats better than the new one from Ford"

Are these "new" cylinders on the 2005 models? Or is replacing the lock cylinder something I have to look forward to down the road on my 2005 ZXW?

My GF has a 2005 and new IC I just installed on my 2003 looks like the 2005.

So, I can only assume Ford finally made a new IC for the Focus and put them on the 2005.

The IC locking up seems to be a very common problem with 00-04 Foci.

grrr... mine just locked up and made me late for work two days ago... haven't been able to start the car since, called the dealer, pricks want to charge ~$200 to fix it.. yeah right.
so, guess i'm the next one in line to join the DIY IC club.
gotta wait until i get paid next week before i can hit up b16 for one... so i'll probably just tear the tumblers out today and run without a lock for a while.
I never thought i'd have to steal my own car... until i bought a ford. :/

Well, if you can get the IC out, you already got the hard part done.
It's when you can't get the IC to turn and come out it becomes a bigger problem.

You can turn the key right ?
