Please do, Zyghot, and thanks. That would let even more people try this kind of thing, without having to alter their existing MAF tube and/or buy another one.

Here are the pics. I only put up the url's cause they're too big and I'm too lazy to shrink them down. Hope this helps some of you out that don't want to modify the MAF tube too much.

There is still some cutting of the MAF tube involved to make it fit. After all the cutting it's gonna look like it's too short to you but rest assured it's just the right length. The fit into the TB boot is a little lose but don't worry about it, just put the rubber gromet thing that went on the top part of your MAF tube into the TB boot and then insert the MAF tube in. That should get rid of some of the play but not all of it. Then just tighten the boot clamp until the MAF tube is in there snugly and you're set to go.

Yeah but you have an actual aftermarket SRI. I just made mine cause I got bored. Then I found this thread. I was trying to keep my cost under 30 bucks.

The only problem I had with the short pipe was that the filter would rattle on the body where it sat. I fixed that, then switched back to just a cone filter on the end of the intake tube- air exchanger in place, or whatever they call that box on the top.

only thing is now since i've added mine it seems like my car is just begging for a new exhaust. lol. i'll take pics of mine and put them up. i actually purchased mine from someone on here. i was going to buy the MAF tube but the price increase happenend before i could. so i bought a set up from someone else for like $20 MAF tube and filter along with the flex piece off of the tb. i didn't want to cut my own maf tube so i was gonna buy a spare. figured hell, why not spend the $20 and get a k+n filter with it.

that's what it is now man. i heard they were super cheap like under $10 but ford raised it. you would be better off finding someone on here willing to sell the ones they aren't using. post in want to buy and watch the for sale threads. that's how i got mine. i posted that i was looking for one and got a reply. purchased and received about a week ago from a fellow FF'r.

There's no way Ford would sell a MAF for $10.
Even aftermarket MAFS aren't cheap.

The $280 price includes the MAF sensor.

You could also check your local junk yards too.

microtonal I'm pretty sure there was a price mistake for a while for a MAF tube, which was $7.
