when you take out the sensor, just keep it facing the same direction. the little 2 wires face the incoming air, and i think there is an arrow on it too.

I just kept the maf tube facing the same direction, i didnt dremmel anything, i just had some rubber spacers that came with my cone filter and hose clamped them down, I didnt feel safe dremmeling the tube,

So UPDATE, My Custom SRI is running great, I actually torque stripped mu hose clamps to see if they loosened up, and they are tight as a tack!! No CEL Ever. Best Mod I ever did. If anyone wants detailed info on my mod without modding the MAF tube, PM me i`ll hook you up.

I was actually wondering if i could do a sort of ram air duct to cool down the charge my SRI gets, has anyone done this before? I know i can make a heat shield but i want more air flow!! Its been about a month since I did this mod and everything is perfect. Accel is alot better. MPG increased also. I was thinking about removing one of my plastice pieces at the bottom of my hood and running some sort of tube from there to my filter...

^^^this has been discussed at length. run a search for sri, cooling them, heatsoak, etc. you will find multiple threads on this, with how-tos, pics, etc.

alright guys, im sorry for bumping this thread but...
i remembered reading and saw the price hike to $90... then over 200 with the maf sensor...

and just yesterday i came across this:
http://htperformance.net/index.php?p...mart&Itemid=38

its $90 for up to a 3" aluminum maf tube w/ maf flange, on the site they also have just the maf housing flange if you wanna cut a hole in a pipe but for 45 its not worth it. anyway it comes out to 99.20 with shipping to NJ, im not buying it, i was just letting everyone know. you could use this to make a sri or even use it on a cai where the stock maf is used.

yeah jsut figured if anyone searched or if anyone was just interested for any kind of intake they may like to know you can get a 3" maf pipe for 100 or so or even the flange and jsut cut a whole in another pipe.

anyone familiar with our maf housing by the way? my friend has a g35 and the maf looked similar (i didnt directly compare them) but once he gets his SRI i intend to check it. it looked awfully similar, does anyone know if housins are the same for other vehicles?
