Steeda Intake Installed (PICS!)

Okay...I got the Steeda intake installed today!!

Would've taken only a 1/2 hour to install it, but I ripped out the lower part of the stock intake as well. In Steeda's instructions...they say to leave it, but I ripped it out since it's not used and is just taking up space. It was a little pain in the butt to get out, but it's out!

The car pulls soooo much nicer in the higher revs. I love it!
Plus it makes a nice little "grunt" when you get on it.

Here are some pics...enjoy!

Intake when I got it:

Stock intake off the car...it's HUGE!

Before Intake:

Without top heat shield:

Finally Installed:

Looks awesome, great work on the install. I've had a STEEDA intake in the past on my Zetec and it did pull alot more, very good quality and the filter was as well.

I've been looking at that one, so thanks for the pics and the details!
But now I have a question, is the only difference between the 2.0L and the 2.3L Duratec the displacement? I don't get enough of a view of your engine compartment to tell...

Yeah I had the Steeda short ram on my SVT last year...that helped it out a lot

But on this car...it SHOULD pull/help a lot more...did you see the stock (restrictive) intake!?!?

There's more to it than that. I forget the specifics, in regards to the engine.

The engine bay is pretty much the same, except the 2.0 has a plastic valve cover is a main visual difference.

This intake will work with your 2.3 though.

It fits the 2.0 & 2.3 Duratecs.

Holy heck! That stock intake is huge!

It looks alright. How much was it if you don't mind me asking?

Looks "alright!?!?"

I think it looks sweet how the top heat shield flows with the frame.

$230 SHIPPED (free shipping) from C-F-M.com

This totally woke my engine up!! The stock intake is restrictive and massive, and just sucks.

Very nice, good pictures there... much better than on the Steeda site, IMO.

Must feel much better when you get on it now, considering how much junk is in the air's way in Duratec stock form!
