Kona / Bat Rack Sunroof Noise

I've got a Bat Inc roof rack and a factory sunroof on my 03 ZX3. Since I added the Bat rack I get a lot of wind noise with the sunroof open.

I wanted to know if the Kona edition focus had a sunroof option, and if it did what did Ford do to reduce the wind noise?

I know Thule and the others sell large "wind farings" (http://www.rackattack.com/exdthule-870.asp?id=400) to reduce noice but I really don't want anything that big.

Any ideas? Thanks!

mike

If you're still interested...

Yakima sells a small plastic piece that slips over the front crossbar and is supossed to reduce wind noice. It's not very visible at all and should not be very expensive. The KONA rack is supposed to work w/ most aftermarket rack accessories and this piece is definitely nothing fancy. It should work. Maybe try your local bike shop or just Yakima.com?

BTW, are you hauling bikes w/ your rack and if so, how do you like it?

I like it a lot! The BAT rack that I have is nice since it's made for the Focus, and the two Thule bike carriers are nice. I got the kind that allow the bikes to stand upright with the tires on, it's super easy to get them on and off.
