Question Easy Mods for a 2005 ZX3

Hi I just got a new 2005 ZX3 SES and i wanted to know if there are any good and relatively inexpensive mods i can do to the car, to add a few horses and possibly increase the MPG a bit as well? Thanks in advance

a good start is a good CAI. I personally have the Focus Sport Cool-Flo....quality is awesome...install is pretty easy, and price aint bad (newedgeperformance.com).
AEM makes a nice product as well, though some have honestly traded in their AEM's for the CoolFlo.
Also; a catback exhaust pairs up nicely with it. Either a magnaflow or borla system would suit ya well...mine is a Trubendz catback w/borla muffler. Sounds real nice, and i can feel the performance. hope this helps for a start!

Definitely start with a CAI, you'll love it and can decide from there if you'd like to add exhaust or other goodies.

Best bang for your buck here, and not a difficult install, no strange tools needed or anything...

Would adding CUI do anything that could risk voiding warranty in any way?
Also, how do you feel about this one i found on ebay:

Check the thread over in Duratec Lounge, I wrote a post regarding warranty there and am too tired to repeat it

Do Not buy that eBay intake! It's not made for our engine anyway, it's a Zetec model, so it would do you no good. The only eBay intake I would buy would be a FS, FC, MM, AEM (any of the companies in the link in my signature) that happened to be being sold on eBay, used, unwanted gift, whatever. But it would need pictures so I was sure it was one of those products... please avoid no-name intakes or BOMZ ones. Please

I went with the k&N typhoone intake, but if your low on cash you could try the "custom short ram". For my exhaust i bought just the magnaflow muffler from CFM and went to a local muffler shop and had them install it with new 2.25 piping.
