Sorry not that i know of. then again i can't look at my own car because i'm stuck at college without my foci right now. Maybe someone else can take a closer look to see if there is a way to remove the metal shift rod?

problem fixed, it was just a few pins and thats that. thing pops out like nothing. very simple and easy. had a friend do it and only took like 10 minutes.

I finally got mine all done. this is by far the cheapest mod i have done on my car. i bought a shift knob and boot from advance forr less than $20. i will post pics soon...

Thanks for that, I had tried them already and with shipping its gonna cost me £80 which I think is a bit rich.

I will try and find a MOMO stockist and see if they can order one in.

Is is possible to just shorten the factory shifter? If so, it would give you a shorter shifter but still retain the functionality of the O/D. My issue with the ATX shifter is not the look of the handle, but the HEIGHT of the handle! I'm tall and hate hitting my knee against the shifter (and occasionally turning off the O/D in the process). Anyone do this or know if it's do-able?

I saw that thread, but wondered if instead of installing an aftermarket shift knob, you can re-install the factory shifter (just cut off the excess from the bottom of the handle to make it shorter)

idk but if u take off the stock shifter off theres actually a piece on the bottom that slides off i could take some pictures for u if u want.
