Is the black part on that MOMO knob plastic, or is that leather?

this is a sweet mod...i may do this...along with 75,000,000,000 other things i saw on here. but yeah, would a momentary button work for the OD? or should it be a switch.

I used a toggle switch and mounted it on the center console. When you take the console off you'll see the switch leads to a simple terminal connection much like in a computer. Very easy to wire up.
But with the toggle, the OD will stay off even after shutting down the car. When you start it back up, OD will still be off. You have to flip the toggle switch twice to renable the OD though. No biggie.

I used a switch from Advance Auto. It's called a momentary switch. You don't have to turn it on and off twice. Just one tap for on or off. It centers itself after release.

Is the button on that momo shift knob pretty easy to push when trying to move it from park to drive?
Also, does anyone know of a site that sells svt leather shift/ebrake boots?

Yeah, it's pretty easy. Just light pressure with my thumb. Sometimes if your hand is positioned just right you can use your palm.

One thing to add, as i'm doing this install as I type.....the wires that you cut that run to the light for the shifter plate, the bulb just unscrews with an easy twist, so no cutting of wires is necessary.
