Question Brand

First of all Happy new year guys . Later this year, I will replace my stock radio with a 6 disc cd player. The question is, should I go for Kenwood or Pioneer? Most people think pioneer is better but in my opinion kenwood are not that bad.

kenwood is good. Don't worry about it. I bought my head unit "openbox" at Bestbuy for cheap and it rocks.

I like Kenwood, I've had mine for two years without any problems.

If all you really want out of upgrading is a six-disc changer, why not get ahold of a Ford factory six-disc unit? It'll be a slide-in replacement, and the Audiophile 9006 unit in particular is not bad, it has a fair amount of power to drive the speakers. These can be had on eBay for much less than the cost of a new aftermarket unit. Just a thought...

Here, this is an example. The auction ended, at a cost of 66.00 US dollars. Add shipping, and it's still probably cheaper than any other way to add a six-disc to your car.

I agree with SVT4ME.

I bought a Focus with the 6 disc in Dash.. just so I wouldn't have to worry about ICE for awhile. It works great. Lots of power, and nothing beats the IN DASH. I hate other cars having to go to the trunk to switch around CDs. Just a nuisance.

I agree with you, this kenwood model I saw will fit exactly and it can take 6 discs in it. I don't want to mess around with wires, cd changers and stuff.

Sorry mate, can't remember it but I saw it and I can't find it anywhere on the net. Only normal size stereos. Next week I'll go and see it again and write down the model number.

Hmm, that's what I was wondering - it's actually oversized? So it fits the opening in the dashboard without needing a "face" to cover the gap? I haven't seen one like that. Good luck, sounds like it might be a good deal.
