Opinions on 2005 Mustang

What does everyone think of the 2005 Mustang?? When I first saw the concept car I was not impressed, but now I can say that it looks pretty damn good. Here are some technical tidbits:(Taken from February 2004 issue of Hot Rod magazine)

GT model:

- 4.6L V-8
- 90 degree V-8
- Aluminum block, aluminum heads
- Rear wheel drive
- SOHC, 3 valves per cylinder
- Bore/Stroke 3.55 x 3.54
- 281 cubic inch displacement
- 9.8 to 1 Compression ratio
- 300 hp @ 6000rpm
- 315 lb.ft torque @ 4500rpm
- 87 octane fuel
- 5 speed manual or 5 speed automatic w/overdrive
- Standard 17 inch tires and wheels, 18 inch optional
- estimated weight with manual tranny, less than 3450 lbs.
- 53/47 weight distribution

V-6 model:

- 4.0L V-6
- 60 degree V-6
- Iron block, aluminum heads
- Rear wheel drive
- SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder
- 3.95 x 3.32 bore/stroke
- 245 cubic inches
- 9.7 to 1 compression ratio
- 202 hp @ 5250 rpm
- 235 lb.ft of torque @ 3500 rpm
- 87 octane fuel
- 5 speed manual and 5 speed auto w/ overdrive
- 16 inch wheels/tires
- Weight est. less than 3300 pounds
- 53/47 weight distribution

Keep in mind these are all preliminary specifications.

Sounds pretty good to me, my complaints with the 2000 GT I had was lack of leg room for those over 6' tall, inhospitable back seat for people with legs, and unsupportive bucket seats, what do yall think? Check out www.hotrod.com and www.motortrend.com.

Love the new styling . The current mustang doesn't even look like a sports car to me...but the new mustang much better job!

I don't know if they have changed the styling but the previous pics I saw always made wanna puke. I do however like Mercury's version of the Mustang. Forgot what they call it but it was slick! Anyone got pics to post up?

Oh and I can't believe they pulled out 300hp by using 87 octane. Fantastic!

I've always been a fan of the 'Stang. I think the 05 is looking pretty good.

I love the new look of the new Mustang, first off the Fastbacks were the bomb. I really like how they have gone back and mixed up the old with the new. Way to go Ford, .
