^^^ WOW that's quite a detailed and extensive list

But I think all I'm planning to do is get the car or one like it, replace all the necessary parts to make sure it runs well, and drive it. Mods aren't high on the priority list because it seems like this car's already fast.

Do you have any idea at all what you are talking about when it comes to DSMs? Probably not, here is my reasoning..

Why tear down and rebuild an engine that already runs well, high miles or not! Tearing apart an engine if there is nothing wrong with it is simply something you dont do. The 4g63 engine will last the life of the vehicle if properly maintained.

You dont just "slap" a front mount on any car, it requires piping kits, different elbows for the turbo, if not using a 20g+ style that already has the outlet where you need it. Front mounts also require cutting of the bumper support, and radiator support, not to mention the slim fans you will more than likely need.

If he has the money to just tear down and rebuild an already running engine for the hell of it, this combination certainly wouldnt be anywhere near the top of my list, try something to the tune of a DNP header and a FP Green or a 3065..

There are countless companies out there that are far superior to an Apexi exhaust, try Buscher for instance..

Arent you forgetting a piggyback to control those injectors? I personally would use DSMlink, it is far superior to any "chip". Im sure you wouldnt forget to upgrade that stock fuel pump now would you?

And last but not least, the only good choice you have made thus far, thank god you didnt say a turbonetics or similar brand..

There is a lot you have to learn about cars, and your post shows this.. Better go to the library and read up!

actually i jus found out that it had shitty spark plugs, is in dire need of an oil change, and the timing may be off....so thats the reason for the poor gas mileage

LOL Yea, I'd say that such things would do it

HOLY SMOKES there are some DSM resources on FF! Crazy! Mystic32vCobra definitely knows a whole lot more about those cars than I do. Have you had one?

Alright, for those of you who are still paying attention to this thread, I just got one more thing to run past you-
I saw a sweet SVTF tonite, a well-done setup, very clean, and it made me wonder if, instead of getting a Talon/Eclipse/Lazer to play with, I'd rather put that money into my car. What do you think? Make the already sweet SVT sweeter, or get a Talon and tune it to run 12's?

PS If things go as planned, I'll prolly still put some money into my Focus.

And Mystic, have you had any problems with your Talon (is that what it is?)?
