I just bought my SVT on 4/24 and have averaged 27MPG. I'm happy with that considering my old '05 ZX3 with the Duratec only averaged 27-28mpg on a normal week. Once, I squeezed 34mpg out of the '05 with all interstate driving.

I found a site to help you track your MPG, and compare with other Foci, as well as other vehicles.

Here is my Focus page on Fuelly

love the scangauge

within the city, I get around 32-36 (yes, really lol) unless I like to get there the same time but take off faster, around 26-28.

highway I get 40mpg...... about nothing more than that unless I want to coast everywhere. did that once coming home and ended up with an estimate for the day at 61mpg. LOL.

breathing mods are 2.25" flex back exhaust, and DIY intake (cone instead of box. lol)

I have not found it hard to get 34 city and 40 highway with my 07 ZXW... watch the tire air pressure, top speed, acceleration... and I pace myself by watching ahead for stoplights so where possible I don't come to a complete stop -- the greatest requirement comes at starting from a dead standstill.

I've filled up 3 times so far 1st tank was 28mpg 2nd was 29mpg and the 3rd (after I hit 1k miles) was 25mpg because I started getting on it a bit. I'm going to try to go a whole tank while hypermiling to see what she can do.

The silver ZX3 with just an exhaust (for engine mods) gets over 35 MPG on highway trips.
11MPG on a track day.

The gold ZX3 with stage 2 cat cams, header, exahust, flex pipe and intake gets 30MPG on 1/2 highway backroad driving
10 MPG on the track
