I got a 2000 ZX3 with 180,000 miles on a Zetec, and I can get 36.25 or so if I drive easy and stay around 60mph the whole way to work (42 miles each way).

I was doing the "shift into neutral while going down hills" trick too, but I was reading supposedly this is bad for the tranny so I stopped doing that for now.

I used to get around 22 mpg, but I swear ever since I started using 89 octane I've been getting closer to 28. Of course I started using 89 about the same time I changed My fuel filter, timing belt, water pump, spark plugs etcetera and added the SR intake and flex back...oh, and a tune up...would any of those things help?

I get around 26-27mpg in my 03 ZX5. I'm more of a lead foot, Gas light comes on around 300 miles, normally takes 10.5gal to fill back up.

I'm quite a bit heavy on the gas with the ZX5, so avg about 22-23 city. I haven't added any mods yet, so this is base.

I got a stock Sedan Except for my fuel saving shorty antenna of course and I am getting over 35 on the average. Trying for 400 miles on this tank. Got 350 so far with just over an 1/8th of a tank left. Its a SPI with a 5 speed MT and it just turned 113,000 miles.

How much difference does a shorter antenna make?
