Well the conditions won't help, but you should get more than that... maybe give it a little more time in case mileage goes up... if it doesn't then take it to the dealer, see if something's abnormal.

the MTX makes a big difference; my mom's ZX5 Zetec MTX got around 27-30 average of mixed driving. My SE Zetec ATX gets around 25-28 average of mixed driving. In my sedan, I've seen a best of 37mpg, all highway doing about 60mph the whole way.

I've been in the low 20's for awhile, but mostly city. A lot of potential for better mileage, but I've been taking advantage of the nice weather=nice driving conditions .

My 2002 SE gets about 31 Highway and 29 City. I drive somewhat heavily but when it is nothing but highway i get around 32-34.

I keep speeds at 70-75 on highway and I always try to anticipate stoplights by going into neutral and using the brakes. Last tank, with 15% city driving, using these methods I was at 360 when my gas light came on, since that is 10% remaining that puts it close to 400 miles. Best i've ever done and i'm at 43,000 miles.

In my 05 ZX3 MTX, I get avg of 24.. and I have almost 3000mi. on it. I started keeping track at around 1400..

Steady driving conditions in suburbs, some aggressive driving but nothing more than a minute tops.

should this be a cause for concern?

Not really, my milage started at about 27 MPG and seemed to get a few MPG better. As I said before my wife gets 32 MPG out of the same car I get 27-28 MPG.. You just might have a heavy foot, apparently I do !!

18ish MPG...I run the A/C most of the time, but I don't think my foot is too heavy.

Primarily city driving...it does 26-27 MPG on a full highway tank, cruising at 85-95 90% of the time.

Just so you know... The higher octane will not help with the milage.. Only needed if you have modifications that require the octane.
