Talking Curious

So i keep reading about the escort gt pacesetter header for our spi. Now im curious has any tried to use a focus zetec pacesetter header? they look neat. Tempted to buy one to try and retro fit. but figured i would ask if anyone has tried yet first as i could save time and money if its going to be to much work.

so after looking it would seem that even before modifying the pipe to fit, there may be a problem with heat next to the ignition wires. I was thinking maybe wrapping the headers with the tape or what ever i keep seeing people do it with.. should cut down on a bit of heat just never used any of them products so not sure as to how much. also a new set of ignition wires. mine might be original, not to sure. but i know they have a lip that hangs down low, maybe after market ones wont have the lip.

zetec headers will not work on spi engines. totally different design. (Well, anything will work with enough $$$$, modification, headaches) but as far as I have ever heard its just not worth it.

crazier than taking a part with minor gains built for a different motor and trying to frankenstein it onto your motor when better and easer solutions could be had? I would like to hear those ideas. =D
