Exclamation hidden tachs in non tach guages

If you have a spi you know they dont have a tach, at least mine didnt. untill ther night when i was at a car show i was shown a hidden tach in your onomiter readout. to turn it on this is what you do.

1. turn you car off completely
2. press hand hold the reset button on the guage cluster
3. whale holding the button turn the car on and wait a few seconds till it says testing or something like that
4. let go of the button on then press it 9 times to reveal a hidden digital tach.
5. when you se number jumping around 6989.0 to 7100.0 you know you hit it

this must be done every time you start your car but it worth not paying 150+ for a tach, and its accurate.

when you start pressing the buton to get to the nineth push you will se other readouts.
about the 4th 5th you will see 000.0 this is your speed digitally in mph if you hit it twice and saw 000.0 this in kmph. there are lots of other things but i khave know idea what they are.

i dont know if this works on all focuses or even all spis but its worth the shot

hit me up if you cant get it to work.

It works on all cars with the digital display for codes and testing. I did a How-to on this. It's in the How-to section still I believe. It's an old trick, but the new guys don't know much about it.

And to slamedzx3, if you have letters in it, you haven't hit it far enough or you overlooked it.

Once you have the gauges back to their original position, turn you car ON. Flick it 9 or 10 times and you'll see the gauge flinging between 1500 and 1200 if it's cold and 800 to 650 if it's warm.

Check out the How-to write up for the full splilel.
