would a dual borla exhaust system be hurtful to my engine?

no it will not be hurtful its just for looks and technically thats not a true dual since thats just a y pipe but the dual for ours is just for looks expect no more gains than the regular borla

He's true. The only thing wrong with ever running a true dual exhaust is there may be a loss in back pressure. and back pressure = torque.

I guess its like this, blowing out your mouth with it wide open, and now blowing out through pursed lips. Make sense?

well if i were to install a true dual.. rather than the look-a-like ..what would i have to do to balance that pressure out so that i wouldnt lose any back pressure?

For a true dual exhaust you'd need a custom header that has two seperate outlets. And on an I4 its not worth the cost...most vehicles that have dual exhausts also have V-configured engines with two seperate headers. Given how far some have pushed the SPI or Zetec with a single exhaust, there's clearly no need for a dual exhaust setup.
