Cyl. head would be an invisible mod., but it's not much use without more changes that WOULD be visible.

To be honest probably nothing. If it was just the head alone it probably wouldn't effect emissions much if at all. Mainly it's the tuning and other parts depending on how your local laws are will depend on what you can do.

Worst of all that head isnt going to add much HP at all , Surfacing your head and keeping it stock would add about the same HP and maybe more TQ , can you get 93 fuel ?

Then add the SVT header , stg3 comp cams and it still should pass

And why my answer, the head by itself is worthless, the other mods that really need to go with it are what call them out. Why he says a OEM header, anything else screams fail me. The obvious outside mods are what flip their switches.

Obey the law no man I'm tired of running with some modern cars and I do not win... Now head motor Massive don't provide horsepower... Wow!!! $ 1,500.00 and not feel any change. In this state of ohio can not do anything for the E-check. I want more horsepower.

The SVT header on your ZX3 should be legal it is a stock Focus header and will add a good 8-9HP to the wheels , , surface the head cannot be seen of checked and will add 8-10HP , add a complete SVT exh header back 2-3HP , Comp Cams 4-6HP and you can do all this if your doing it your self for not much over the cost of the massive head that might add 3-4HP

Tom's got a good list of mods. that should pass as stock, or ARE stock on a different model so they should make it past inspection.

Doing the SVT header conversion, using a stock heat shield makes it look even more 'original" to help it pass.

Tuning from Tom is another invisible mod. that makes the others perform to their best, and it will run cleaner as well as better with a tune once modified. (too many changes without a tune & it won't run as well as it should)

I wouldn't say invisible. Some cars will pass with tunes and some don't. I been lucky and both of my foci have passed with no problems being tuned. It also helps to go to some mom and pop place that does inspections if possible as they won't care if you done stuff as long as it passes.
