BBK Throttle BOdy

Is the Focus central 65 mm throttle body much better than the BBK 65mm throttle body?

Damn right.... IMO doesn't compare.

That being said, I've never used a BBK TB yet but I've read ALOT of problems that they've had with idling, fitment, other issues. Not worth the risk and FC's TBs have always been #1 in the TB aftermarket for the focus so why not go with the best out there. I'd personally not trust the BBK after everything I've read. That and STFA from the Jackson Racing TB's as they pulled them off the market they were so bad.

I've actually held both in my hands and the FC has a much better finish to it... BBK makes alot of good stuff, but the FC is made by a company that is focus specific.. Also, if you have a later car the BBK will not fit, as FC makes the adaptor plate to make there TB work on later cars!!

if your looking at it for your 00' go for it. sure the fc has a better finish but on the dyno neither one performs better then the other. bbk has been making throttle bodies much much longer then FC has. buddy has the bbk without a problem, i have had my FC where the spring went bad, idle screw fell out and the blade shifted hitting the metal causing the idle to stick... so no matter what company you buy you could lead to problems. but check out ebay for a used BBK

I didn't look to see what year car you had! DUH! The BBk will work just fine on your car as well as the FC...

Yeah it will work fine but I'd still go with a FC.... they got a better reputation in the focus modding world.

not from my angle nothing with a great reputation should make several generations of anything... 3 of a header, 2 of a throttle body...pulling parts off the market due to problems, intake ducts falling off the cf hoods. i had there parts since 2000 and if i had a focus again, NOTHING would be from them. they are highly overpriced and until the last year with different ownership had horrible service if nader wasn't around
