blow through/suck through

I am catching up slowly on FI (gave up the dream years ago, but back to trying), and remember blow through setups are better than suck through setups.

What I want to know is why one is better than the other, and is suck through all that bad?

Thanks in advance :)

Are you talking about having a supercharger behind the TB vs in front of the TB?

No he is talking about the position of the MAF sensor on a turbo set up. Either before the turbo or after.

Actually most tuners hate blow through , there why many kits come suck through , blow through is much harder to tune and a lot harder to learn to tune

Blow through = MAF located between the intercooler and the TB
Suck through = MAF located between the air filter and turbo

I was one of the first around to try a blow through set up back in 1994 ( SVO Mustangs ) and never looked back , I felt it was better and smoother all around driveability , If I was building a turbo kit there is no way I would not do it suck through

The Focus has a ton of room to do this and great location with long straight before and after MAF to keep the air clean

Do a blow through !

Tom
