Such as........

1.Turbo PSI -

2.If there are any tranny upgrades needed -

3. If tuning is needed or suplied -

4. WHP -

If there are any more questions anyone thinks is needed add them ASAP!

Just got off the phone with Turbonetics they told me even though that there componets are in the kit, the turbo is from Roush. So now I am calling them and gonna see what I get.

**EDIT AGAIN**

Ok now, after talking to Roush they told me that the turbo was designed for the ZETEC ONLY. Now what that means is one of two things, either that Turbonetics just modified the turbo kit to fit the SPI or there was a typo in the product description. So I call back turbonetics and ask if the kit was for the SOHC SPI they said no, I tell them about the turbo for sale on www.performancepartswholesale.com and they assured me that the turbo is NOT SPI compatable. I then call back performancepartswholesale and tell them thier mistake on the site it should be changed.

While I was on the phone with Roush I asked if they had any plans for the SPI he said no, also there are NO SVT, or 2.3 Duratec plans either.

Damn You Knocturnal you got my hopes up, J/K

Let the hunt continue!

Jon

Well the turbo is not for the SPI, so we are S.O.L. for now. But I will keep up the search.

well there are a few things you can do,

go junk yard diving and find an Escort EXP IHI exaust manifold, back in the 80's the Escort EXP's were turbo'd and the SPI is actually a remake of the same engine used.

You can also see if you can find a European Escort RS manifold, that also is the same family to the SPI

and finally you can get a log manifold made up from any good tuning shop, doing the log manifold setup you actually have better options of different types of turbos you can use.

once you find the manifold, its just a matter of finding a turbo that will bolt up to that.

Then all thats needed is:

- A down pipe, which can also be made by any good tuning shop
- charge piping
- Intercooler
- Waste gate (unless your turbo has an internal wastegate)
- Blow off Valve
- Charge Piping adapters
- Pipe clamps
- Tuning, Either:
- SCT
- Diablo Sport

For tuning you just want to make sure there is a local shop near you to be able to properly tune either chips

This is a custom kit so it might be a little harder to do than a pre-fab setup. If you were planning on working with a shop on this sit down with them figure out the parts needed have them order it all and install it.

Either way its possible to turbo the SPI, and the SPI can handle the boost just nicely.

well Waterboy said he was running 10psi, but I garontee it wont last long. I take it you have an autotragic?

If manual just get an upgraded clutch and maybe a LSD and you'd be set.

Yes I do have the autotragic, so what would be a safe PSI?
